Cool Picture size

Hello, picture in details view is showing up as 15cm x 22.4cm. Original picture (as shown when one clicks on the picture) is 16cm x 21cm. The picture does not appear well in details view (as compared to appearance when clicked on). I would have prefered having the template #6 displaying picture in 19cm x 15cm and creating all the original pictures in this format. I guess there are some codes that need to be changed. Can someone help?

Hello,

The main photo shown in details view are stretched/shrinked to fit the available width on your page. In your case, your photo is too wide to fit, therefore its width is reduced from 16cm to 15cm. The only way you can prevent this is by changing the "Medium's image size" configuration from the default "600" to a smaller value, say 500.

Thanks,

but playing around with Medium's image size in Image Configuration does not change anything. 100, 600, 500 and 1000: No change in Front-end.

My objective is having an image than can be displayed at 700 pixels on the page.

You need to re-upload the images in order for the new sizes to take effect.

Question

Hello,

how can I decrease the size of the thumbnail ? I've set 'Small/Thumbnail's image size' to 1 or 0 but it still displays at 3cm x 4cm in summary view.

Or even how can I prevent the image thumbnail is appearing in summary view?

I also want to remove the 'new' and 'reviews' comment appearing next to the name in summary review. Have disabled everything related to them in mosets backend but still appearing.

Regards, Kurt

Hi Kurt,

The new thumbnail size will take effect only after you have reupload your image again. Existing thumbnails will remain in their current sizes until they have been replaced.

This is available as a parameter in Kinabalu template:

Mosets Tree > Templates > Kinabalu

Set Show image in summary view to No.

Re: Removing new

FILE: /components/com_mtree/templates/kinabalu/template.css
LINE:648 - 659

Replace the sup.new rule with the following codes:
Code:
sup.new {
display:none;
font-size:0.5em;
background-color:#51CD07;
color:#fff;
-moz-border-radius:3px;
-webkit-border-radius:3px;
border:1px solid #fff;
font-weight:700;
position:relative;
/*top:-6px;*/
padding:0 4px;
}
Re: Remove review

In MT's configuration, under "Rating/Rev" tab, set Show Review to No.

Thanks for your mail.

The thumbnail picture is OK now. But when I align it to the right there is a spacing between the lines (shown in red in the picture) as compared to an entry without picture. Can this be sorted out? (I have tried the line-height code without success)

Removing the 'New' functionality should be OK from your codes but the 'Review' is still appearing (in "Rating/Rev" tab, "Show Review" was already set to No) - see picture. Can you help?

Regards, Kurt

Please open a thread at http://forum.mosets.com/forumdisplay.php?f=24 with the URL to your site and temp. access to the back-end. I'll have a look at this.

It won't help if the file is the original version from MT 2.1.5.
