Setting a category as the default to search.

Hi. Is there a way to limit what category the alpha index and the tags search in by default? Say for example I have categories for bands that perform at high schools, colleges, and night clubs, as well a category that lists all of the bands. The bands also have tags that tell which styles the band plays. When a user uses the Alpha search or clicks on a tag, I want to only show results from the category that has all of the bands.

I'm using Moset's Tree 2.2.6
