I agree, it does not look like we are going to get a payment system so groups would allow to use a membership payment system.
I am surprised assign groups isn't already there.
I have used Mosets for a few years and my subscription has recently run out. I am sad to say I will not renew it until either a payment system or groups are added. If it had a payments system it would be the best directory component/software available by a long way.

Totally agree, I do not renewed for this reason.
It is a pity that the component does not have this feature, for me is not to drive imcomprensible user groups and membership payment.

I'm sure if these capabilities include business volume and would greatly increase the quintessential component directory

Possibility of comparing two or more listings and viewing results of selected listings on the same page in a tabular form.

Suggestion on Deployment

Include a checkbox with each listing and tag it 'Compare'... When the checkbox for at least 2 listing is selected by a visitor, the compare button appears and when this button is clicked, it generates a page that positions the values for selected listings in tabular form.

Its the only thing its missing, with a payment system built in it would be the best directory script bar none. And I would pay more for it.

I'm still missing a radius distance search; I guess many people here miss this feature as well.
Different map markers for different categories would be nice as well.

I also like to see an improved gallery with image title, description....

RSMembership component will allow grouping and recurring payment for mosets tree categories or the entire component. It is configurable with custom fields and intuitive php coding that will allow micro billing for specific fields EG: A user could create a free listing but allowed only title and x word count for details. To add website, images etc, they would need to pay for each field. See it in use at http://pro876.com/artists/

For member grouping without billing, the Mosets permission system will facilitate that within each category's configuration options.

Collections
Admin can choose which listings he can set into a collection.

Per example we have a directory about fashion.

So the admin can pick a pair of schoes, pants, a shirt and a jacket.
Voila, we have a nice collection and visitors can find inspiration.

Like some other software offer, would be nice to be able to import/export the config file. In my case, I manage several Mosets installations and i have to check manually each of them....this feature would save a lot of time

Today the export tool exports everything, but in case of a lot of listings it’s not possible to use it. Would be good if there could be the possibility to choose which category to export, so the load can be reduced.
