Default A little help with the .css would be nice

Hello all,

I am trying to customize my site with HP B5 for a while now.
Is there anybody who can write a short tutorial about how to work with css in HP?

For example:
I want to change the looks of the Price Caption in the overview.
I cant get it done

Please some help. Thnx.

Stijn

I looked at your site in your signature "TrouwAutosVerhuur.nl " but I only speak english so I am not sure where to look for a Price Caption. Can you point it out?

Also are you aware of firebug for firefoxx? It allows to find locations of css changes you want to make pretty easily.

If you wanted to modify the price caption on the home page, you would do something like this in whatever CSS template you have activated. By default, it would be located in "media/com_hotproperty/css/default/styles.css":

Code:
#hotproperty.home dl.attributes dt.caption.price {
	font-size: 15px;
}
for the search results page, it would be something like this:

Code:
#hotproperty.searches.results dl.attributes dt.caption.price {
	font-size: 15px;
}
You really just need to view the source of the output and track down the items you need to modify. It's tedious, but I can't really think of a better way to do it.

The Web Developer plugin for Firefox is also very useful for tracking down CSS paths and info, as well.

Hi, In the Hot Property Configuration, set your css to the "default" css and so edit:

media/com_hotproperty/css/default/styles.css

add:

/** for the value **/
#hotproperty .value.price{
color:#ff000;
font-weight:bold;
background:#ccc;
}

/** for the caption**/
#hotproperty .value.caption{
color:#ffff;
font-weight:bold;
}

and just play with the css property.

hi Stijn,

Maybe the best for you is to use the same tools we used to design HP, ie: firebug — a firefox extension which allow you to "live edit" your website, just by inspecting HTML elements on it.

A brief introduction.

Personally, I don't know how I could live without!

Best regards.
