Is 2.1.9 -> 2.2 a radical change?

Hi,

I'm little afraid about the new MT. It means that we'll have to upload to Joomla 1.6 (many modules doesnt works there)?. What about m2 template?. And all the little hacks did on MT core or templates?.

MT 2.2 share the same codebase with MT 2.1. What has mostly changed are the API calls to Joomla to make MT 2.2 natively compatible with Joomla 1.6.

MT's database and file structures remains the same between MT 2.1 and MT 2.2 so you can easily upgrade from 2.1 to 2.2.

M2 template is still available in MT 2.2. Your template 'hacks' should work or at least require minimal changes to accommodate Joomla 1.6 if it uses any Joomla APIs.
